The Université de technologie Belfort-Montbéliard is located in eastern France. One of the three campuses (Belfort, Montbéliard, Sevenans), Montbéliard is the birthplace of the French car manufacturer Peugeot, with factories and museums nearby. 

There are five courses in this university. The program is characterized by engineering-based design research and education with extensive workshops and projects. Also, the current students are required to do a long-term internship, and the education emphasizes on practical skills. 

One of the courses, the Ergonomics, Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, focuses on the three areas of ergonomics, design and engineering. It has a similar educational system to the Department of Industrial Design in the School of Design. Also, the course on Mechanical Engineering and Design offers an educational program that fosters creative abilities in both design and mechanical engineering. 

The university has students from all over Europe and Asia, and they can study in French and English. The university has a dormitory and is a safe place to live. The university is located near the German-Swiss border, making it a convenient location for sightseeing.
