Study Abroad in Milan, Italy 2022

Destination: Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Study Period: February 2022 – July 2022
Affiliation/Grade at the start of studying abroad: Graduate School of Design, Environment and Heritage Design Course, Master Year 1

Politecnico di Milano has a particularly strong track record in the field of architecture and design, training many architects and designers. I decided to study at Politecnico di Milano because I wanted to gain useful expertise at Politecnico di Milano in my research field, which is the study of traditional Miao dwellings.

When I actually studied at Politecnico di Milano, I learned a lot about group work. The local students were very motivated and the classroom atmosphere was great. The School of Design and the School of Architecture often hold art exhibitions as well as exhibitions of students’ competitions and project works, creating a very strong learning atmosphere.

The teaching style at Politecnico di Milano is very different from that of Kyushu University. In the 15-credit STUDIO, classes are eight hours long, or one day long. The other 6 credit classes are 4 hours a day, so you need to choose classes according to your own schedule so they do not overlap.

I recommend that you keep an eye on Politecnico di Milano’s Facebook page because the activities organized by the university for trips to Italy, which are only open to international students, are very inexpensive, and safe, and you will meet many foreign friends. However, seats are limited, so please register as soon as possible.
