My Thoughts on Studying Abroad
1. Outcomes
Before I went to study abroad, I was convinced that I could only do things that I want abroad, but living in Europe made me realize that it doesn’t matter where I am, so I decided to do what I want to do in Japan. I was not able to finish my book on photography because my study abroad program was disrupted due to coronavirus. Still, I would like to continue doing what I was not able to do over there. I also realized that Japan does have discrimination, and I am biased too. I want to eliminate my prejudices by interacting with more people of different races.

2. Challenges
The German language was difficult to learn, and I didn’t manage to master it. Next time, if I want to study abroad, I would like to know the local language first.

Advice to Prospective Students
If you have a goal to study abroad, just do it. I was worried before I went to Germany because you can only get a visa there, but my landlord was there with me, and I was able to get a visa without any problem. I think you can get over anything if you can honestly ask for help when you don’t know what to do. If you ask for help, I think you will find someone who will help you, and it would be interesting to develop a new relationship with the person who helps you.
