The Braunschweig University of Art (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig) is one of Germany’s leading art universities and the only public art university in the state of Lower Saxony. As an international university, it hosts students from 36 countries. Despite being a specialized institution, it offers not only practice-based courses such as Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Communication Design, but also theory-based courses including Art Studies and Media Theory, and has a doctoral program as well.
