The University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FHP) was founded in 1991. Its degree programmes include courses in information science, engineering, social and cultural studies, and design. Through collaboration with local, national and international partners, it provides a practical learning environment. With innovative teaching and research methods, students and staff from different disciplines have the opportunity to collaborate, enabling students to learn applied research methodologies at an early stage through “research-based learning.” Thanks to excellent facilities and staff, practical education is delivered efficiently, and students can also attend lectures at other universities within the state. The university also provides extensive support for students’ future careers, including academic advising and start-up assistance.
