Exchange agreement signed in 2025.
This is one of the 23 IITs, which are some of India’s leading universities and research institutions. It was established by the Indian government in 2008 as the 11th IIT in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state. The institute has 18 departments.
With the aim of strengthening Japan-India relations through personnel and academic exchanges, JICA is providing support in areas where India’s needs align with Japan’s strengths. This support is directed towards facilitating the entry of Japanese companies into the Indian market, the recruitment of Indian talent, and the sharing of technology through joint research with Japanese universities, covering both hardware (such as facilities) and software (such as capacity building).
