I chose Nanyang Technological University (NTU) because of its high level of education and because they allow long-term exchange study. NTU is ranked in the top 10 Best University ranking in Asia. NTU invested heavily in the facilities and equipment that allowed me to have a rich education experience, unlike what I had in Geiko. Also, two semesters in NTU which was about 10 months, did not disrupt my schedule at Geiko. Hence, I could finish the long-term exchange study without taking a gap year in Geiko.

There are so many appealing points. I will mention one of them. You can meet many people. When I went to NTU, there were around 2000 exchange students. There were frequent student events and club activities. As a result, I made a bunch of friends, not only Singaporeans but also friends from Germany, Australia, Scotland, Sweden, etc. I went to Malaysia and Thailand for trips with these friends. The many opportunities to meet friends is the appealing point of studying at NTU.

I did not know much about Singapore before I went. However, I had the most wonderful and rewarding time, thanks to the amazing friends whom I met in Singapore. For those who are going to NTU as exchange students, I hope you will make many friends and gain many experiences in a very friendly country! I hope you all have a fulfilling school life at NTU!
