On Friday, April 25, 2025, we held our International Welcome Party at the Design Common on the first floor of Kyushu University’s Ohashi Campus. A total of 57 students participated, including 24 new international students and 33 Geiko supporters (23 Japanese students and 10 international students), creating a vibrant multicultural gathering.

The 90-minute program began with an introduction to international student support office hours by Associate Professor Yao Yaya, Deputy Director of International Office, Faculty of Design. This was followed by Speed Friend icebreaker games, a social dining experience with delicious food, and concluded with memorable group photos.

The event was successfully organized and led by our Geiko supporters, who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere to help newly arrived international students connect and build friendships. We will incorporate valuable feedback from participants to continue providing even more enriching international exchange opportunities in the future.
