Are you interested in cinema? If you like watching movies or are curious about making films, come join us!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Ohashi Campus, we have an Ohashi Film Circle. Our main activities are film screenings and the creation of short films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Film screenings take place every Thursday at 18:00 in the theatre room of Building 7. We gather to collectively choose the movie for the day. You\u2019re welcome to suggest any movie you would like to watch. Our selection of movies is quite diverse. It can be Japanese and English movies, anime, comedy, and occasionally even horror. The theatre room is equipped with a large screen and excellent speakers, creating an immersive environment for your viewing pleasure. You can bring along your favorite snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is perfect for an enjoyable cinematic experience. After the screening, we often share our individual impressions about the film. It’s an opportunity to connect with each other and gain a deeper understanding of the movie. These experiences surpass the solitary nature of watching the movie alone at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Occasionally, we create exciting short films. Participation is entirely optional. In Geiko, we have students of various talents. Some are good at recording a sound, shooting a video, taking a picture, editing a movie, etc. Therefore, the creators of the Ohashi Film Circle are also professional! However, if you are not confident in your abilities, no worries! Every member is valuable to our team. You can contribute in various ways, such as setting up the scenes, running errands, or being an actor or actress! Alternatively, if you want to challenge yourself to learn a new skill, you can learn from any member of the team. They will be most willing to teach you. I didn\u2019t have experience in recording human voices, but I could do that in our latest original movies, thanks to the guidance of a team member. Last year, we produced two short films for the Geiko Festival. We started from the previous summer vacation and initiated the filmmaking process. From thinking about the story to editing the videos, we created new short videos totally on our own.
