Join Geiko Supporters, a dedicated team under the International Office of the Faculty of Design, working to foster a “Melting Pot” culture that brings together students from all walks of life. As a Geiko Supporter, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with international students, support their integration into life in Fukuoka, and promote cultural exchange and community building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why become a Geiko Supporter?<\/em><\/strong>
Cultural Exchange<\/strong>: Get to know students from different countries, learn new languages, and develop meaningful friendships.
Skill Development<\/strong>: Gain valuable experience in event planning, teamwork, and leadership while helping others.
Community Engagement<\/strong>: Share your expertise and make a positive difference by helping new students settle into Fukuoka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities<\/em><\/strong>
Befriend and Support International Students<\/strong>: Assist newcomers with essential tasks like registering at the Ward Office, opening bank accounts, and navigating life in Japan.
Event Planning and Organization<\/strong>: Work alongside the team to plan and organize welcome parties, and assist in the events organized by Geiko International Office.
Creative Engagement Activities<\/strong>: Create posters, or visual campaigns that foster empathy and belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are we looking for?<\/em><\/strong>
Current students from the School of Design \/ Graduate School of Design at Kyushu University (research students welcome).
Commitment to supporting your peers and contributing to a welcoming campus environment.
A friendly, helpful attitude and dedication to producing quality work.

I am an international student from Guatemala with a passion for organizing events, photography, and design. I enjoy helping new students, who often become new friends at Geiko.
